Information: • Sets agendas and conducts monthly nation longhouse
• Sets longhouse calendar (1st Wednesday or each month)
• Makes sure tribes have monthly nation events assignments, and ensures their follow-thru
• Calls for votes at longhouse. Only needs to vote to break tie
• Sets up committees to work on projects
• Tries to attend meetings of each tribe (Chief’s Walk), and encourages participation at tribal, nation, and federation levels
• In February, sets nation calendar and assignments for following year in accordance with federation weekend assignments
• In March, starts to set up longhouse for following year
• At campouts, leads opening and closing ceremonies
• Has responsibility of preparing Council Fire text, and makes sure texts are available for appropriate positions
• With Wampum Bearer, handles contracts and financials with campgrounds
• Distributes, with daughter(s), campout awards on Sunday morning
• Awards Honor Tribe at each campout
• Tries to attend each Federation Longhouse
• Has discretion to call for changes or meetings that are for the good of the nation
• Official timekeeper of campouts
• Arranges AIMS walks
