My Duties: • Safeguard nation’s financials • Maintains bank account of nation’s funds. Makes sure that there are 2 signatures who can deal with account • Presents report at each longhouse with current state of accounts • Keeps financials of each campout, and discusses possible refunds with longhouse at following longhouse, using guidelines previously established • With Nation chief, works to sign contracts and handle financials of campout • Reconciles with Camp Director to deliver correct payment to camp • Reimburses individual persons and tribes for approved expenses • Maintains a permanent reserve, as decided by the longhouse, to be used for deposits for events • Arranges at the end of term to sign over accounts to new wampum bearer and new second signer • Twice a year review with Med Man roughly to verify the validity of the account |
